Recent changes

SPACEWatch 6 is the current version of SPACEWatch Desktop, Server and Enterprise Editions. This is a major version update. Click a screenshot on the left to see it in action. Updating your installation

To update your SPACEWatch installation:

• Download the most recent software
• Uninstall your current installation (Settings - Add/Remove Programs)
• Run the downloaded program and follow the on-screen instructions - remember to install SPACEWatch into the same location (e.g. C:\Program Files\SPACEWatch)

System Requirements

SPACEWatch pro is a Windows application and is supported on Windows 2000, 2003 and XP. There are no special hardware requirements, however SPACEWatch pro is a database application, so for optimum performance we recommend more than minimum memory for the Windows version you are using.

For full function on Netware networks you will need a Novell Client. For full function on IBM Lotus networks you will need a Lotus Notes 5.0.2b or later client.

Change History

You can check your version by looking on the Help - About window or using Explorer to display the properties of swatch.exe and clicking on the Version tab. The table below tells you a little about recent updates to SPACEWatch. Click on the diamonds to see more detail about a particular release. If you have a licence for SPACEWatch you can download and install any minor version updates without buying a new licence - simply download the software from this site:

Version
			ASHE-6M9PA7	Trend chart drill down is now carried out via a popup context menu. This context menu also lets you quickly save the chart in a variety of formats or generate a report.
			ASHE-6M9PAQ	File Find now displays total files selected and the space they consume on its status line. This display is updated each time you change your selection.
			ASHE-6M9PBX	Enterprise Edition: 'Advanced Trends' to provide more advanced Storage Utilization analyses that you can expand and drill down to file-level detail. This feature will let you track the growth of new space on your systems over particular days, months or the last year - or alternatively view the profile of new space creation at particular times of day or days of week.
			ASHE-6M9PC5	Silent operation: you can now script SPACEWatch to scan systems, merge data or generate reports without intruding on the system it is installed on. This feature is particularly useful if you want to use SPACEWatch for advanced PC file auditing. This option hides SPACEWatch and also reduces its priority so that the system can continue to be used as normal.
			ASHE-6MJQM5	Fixed regression bug from v5.5 build 48 affecting 2nd and subsequent volumes from the same system when reporting in the Tree Summary.
