Recent changes

SPACEWatch 6 is the current version of SPACEWatch Desktop, Server and Enterprise Editions. This is a major version update. Click a screenshot on the left to see it in action. Updating your installation

To update your SPACEWatch installation:

• Download the most recent software
• Uninstall your current installation (Settings - Add/Remove Programs)
• Run the downloaded program and follow the on-screen instructions - remember to install SPACEWatch into the same location (e.g. C:\Program Files\SPACEWatch)

System Requirements

SPACEWatch pro is a Windows application and is supported on Windows 2000, 2003 and XP. There are no special hardware requirements, however SPACEWatch pro is a database application, so for optimum performance we recommend more than minimum memory for the Windows version you are using.

For full function on Netware networks you will need a Novell Client. For full function on IBM Lotus networks you will need a Lotus Notes 5.0.2b or later client.

Change History

You can check your version by looking on the Help - About window or using Explorer to display the properties of swatch.exe and clicking on the Version tab. The table below tells you a little about recent updates to SPACEWatch. Click on the diamonds to see more detail about a particular release. If you have a licence for SPACEWatch you can download and install any minor version updates without buying a new licence - simply download the software from this site:

Version
			ASHE-6RBQSQ	All editions: True byte-by-byte comparison option for File Duplicate analysis. SPACEWatch Pro's existing CRC32 algorithm provides a very high accuracy in file duplicates analysis, with the chance of incorrectly identifying a duplicate likely to occur only once every 20 years for the average customer. However for those customers who demand absolute accuracy this feature will offer an alternative approach that individually compares each piece of data in pairs of files.
			ASHE-6RDPJW	Domino Edition: Copy, Move and Delete now function from the File Find results list. If you choose copy or move you will be prompted for a destination and then SPACEWatch Pro will copy or move all selected attachments from their source Notes databases/documents.
			ASHE-6RDPKC	Domino Edition: File Find results list no longer shows "unreachable" (red line) icons.
			ASHE-6RDPKZ	Domino Edition: Files can now be opened directly from the File Find results list or file properties dialog. When you choose this option with an attachment in a Notes database, the attachment is extracted and then opened using the appropriate application on your desktop (if available).
			ASHE-6RDPLY	All Editions: You can now save file searches as Virtual Folders and re-use these at any time from the Tree Summary, or access built-in Virtual Folders easily from the same location.
			ASHE-6RDPHG	Domino Edition: Lower level directories below the Domino server data directory are now propertly handled with or without filter settings added.
			ASHE-6RDPJ4	Domino Edition: Occasionally 2nd and subsequent file attachments within the same message would be missed. This was due to a Lotus API bug. A workaround has now been introduced to address this.
