Recent changes

SPACEWatch 6 is the current version of SPACEWatch Desktop, Server and Enterprise Editions. This is a major version update. Click a screenshot on the left to see it in action. Updating your installation

To update your SPACEWatch installation:

• Download the most recent software
• Uninstall your current installation (Settings - Add/Remove Programs)
• Run the downloaded program and follow the on-screen instructions - remember to install SPACEWatch into the same location (e.g. C:\Program Files\SPACEWatch)

System Requirements

SPACEWatch pro is a Windows application and is supported on Windows 2000, 2003 and XP. There are no special hardware requirements, however SPACEWatch pro is a database application, so for optimum performance we recommend more than minimum memory for the Windows version you are using.

For full function on Netware networks you will need a Novell Client. For full function on IBM Lotus networks you will need a Lotus Notes 5.0.2b or later client.

Change History

You can check your version by looking on the Help - About window or using Explorer to display the properties of swatch.exe and clicking on the Version tab. The table below tells you a little about recent updates to SPACEWatch. Click on the diamonds to see more detail about a particular release. If you have a licence for SPACEWatch you can download and install any minor version updates without buying a new licence - simply download the software from this site:

Version
			ASHE-72ECKC	Deleting multiple files: if one file canot be deleted, SPACEWatch will now continue on and try to delete subsequent files. The default Windows behaviour is to give up.
			ASHE-72ECNK	User space analysis now includes a feature to let you analyse top space users by highlight group (i.e. the types of files) or by server/volume.
			ASHE-72ECQH	When scripting automated reporting you can now specify the output format for the report - for example, as well as PDF you can now choose have reports emailed to you in Word, Excel or plain text format.
			ASHE-72ECQY	In Enterprise and Email Editions you can now use a new custom reporting feature. This allows you to construct XML-based custom reports of any complexity, then run them interactively or via script with choice of output format and destination (e.g. email). You can also pass optional arguments to the custom reports from your scripts. Examples are included in the "Custom Reports" folder.
			ASHE-72ECKW	Command line selection of database connection files: these are now correctly processed when using the "/L" option.
			ASHE-72ECMV	Task Manager: you can now schedule tasks earlier in the day than the current time.
